ESPN reports that he was sentenced as a result of the illicit videotapes taken of Dancing With The Stars Hottie and ESPN correspondent who wants to be taken seriously as a journalist dammit, Erin Andrews.

A quote from Ted not credited in the article: “This is total bullshit!! Have you SEEN her??”

Erin later pointed out that while she felt violated and mentally distressed, she did still love his writing and recommends Better Off Red to

How To Make Your Woman a Football Fan

Many thanks to Larry Burton over at Bleacher Report for providing advice on how to turn your sports-hating significant other into a college football nut.

Now, full disclosure – I’m philosophically opposed to such a thing (further disclosure & incredible shocker: I’m divorced). I do not want to bring a wife/girlfriend who doesn’t want to be there into my college football world.

Conversely, I do not want her reading some equivalent article that teaches her how

Last Thursday was Pro Day for the Huskers, the annual event where NFL scouts and executives gather in Lincoln to click stopwatches and scrutinize Nebraska seniors as they work to prove they are NFL material. It was a big crowd, and many of them were there to see a big man, Ndamunkong Suh. But there were a dozen other Huskers there too, Matt O’Hanlon and Larry Asante and Phillip Dillard and the rest, all pushing

NU’s Ugly Duckling Program

Read that and you’ll say to yourself “State of the Union of…what??”

I know that’s what most of you will say. It’s not really shock or surprise that NU has a basketball program, though. It’s that sense of shock and surprise to anyone (especially our Barking Brethren over at OBK) that someone is actually bothering to WRITE about it.

By IT I mean the program. And by the program,

Sammy Vegas over at Double Extra Point put together a summary of the NFL earnings of former Huskers since 2000. It’s worth a look, especially if you want to get depressed about your career choice.

Who would have guessed that Chris Kelsay ($29 million) was in the same ballpark as Ahman Green ($35 million)?

Or that Kris Brown pulled down nearly as much ($18 million) as Mike Brown ($23 million)? (Unless Kris is Mike’s ex wife.)

And that Barrett Ruud ($10 million)

Shitty season…..Rick needs to hire some offensive help and someone needs to say it to him. Deloss?

    Trips,

Do you know that he didn’t? JCB has made bad decision all season, why would this be any different. Barnes coached a shitastic game, but on the teams I was the best FT shooter, I never game up the ball unless it was an uncontested layup…..It’s not hard and it doesn’t take a

mcpayne, yes, you don’t leave that shit to chance. You don’t let your guys break the huddle or dead ball not knowing precisely what’s expected from them. Barnes doesn’t get 2 mil for coaching PE where he’s hoping the right guy gets fouled.

mpayne, I’d agree with you if J’Covan had been playing all season and had been in situations to make that decision. Like, you know, against Baylor, when he played all of 3 fucking minutes thanks to rick.

So yes, it is rick’s fault.

With 15 seconds left, out of a dead ball, most coaches would make it perfectly clear who they wanted to be fouled.

Stupid decisions by Brown are one of the reasons he sat on the bench for most of the season…lack of coaching maybe, or just a lack of basketball IQ?

Oh well, if Brown doesn’t go off in the 2nd half, we aren’t even playing in OT. Too bad he didn’t get much of a chance

Pat, if you were making 2 million a year, would you leave that up to chance?

  • Patrick Bateman commented on the blog post Texas Hoops vs. Wake Forest Open thread   8 minutes ago

Actually, if your a PG and the best FT shooter on the team and played basketball your entire life, you’d pretty much know not to give up the ball if you had any brains…..Such a dumb play…..

  • D W commented on the blog post Texas Hoops vs. Wake Forest Open thread   10 minutes ago

Oh, and a stupid decision by Brown in giving up the ball to Johnson.

  • Trips Right commented on the blog post Texas Hoops vs. Wake Forest Open thread   10 minutes ago

Be nice if we’d coached our 90 percent foul shooter not to give the ball up.
